Armando Piccini Award – Heritage For The Future
On May 24th, the award ceremony of the winners of the first edition of the competition reserved to young jewelry designers was held on the central terrace of the Ponte Vecchio
For our family it is a sort of return to the origins – says Elisa Tozzi Piccini – when my uncle Armando used to teach and pass on the principles of the goldsmith’s art, the most refined manufacturing techniques , engraving and embedding, in our workshop nestled below the Vasari Corridor. This award, in a world that is slowly going back to the research for the essence and the true value of things, for uniqueness and real, tangible excellence as well as for the bespoke, wants to push young enthusiasts in the field of design, goldsmithing and jewelry to embrace this wonderful world. With passion and dedication, embracing a legacy without equal to build a brilliant future. Getting hands dirty. Because it is from these principles that the best and most capable artisans came from. To stand out and excite
