In
1993, Fratelli Piccini published
a book that highlights the most significant events
of the company’s 90-year history. Also,
a special exhibit featuring the works of the famous
artist Armando, winner of the “Biennale
di Venezia” in 1935, took place
at Florence’s Bardini Museum. These sculptures
were donated to the "Museo degli Argenti"
in Palazzo Pitti by the Comune di Firenze where
they are on permanent exhibition. |
To
celebrate their 100th anniversary, and to demonstrate
their affection to Florence and Tuscany, Fratelli
Piccini presented the 2003 restoration of the
painting “L’Allegoria della
Carità” at the Magliabecchiana
library in Florence. This famous work was originally
created by artist Piero del Pollaiolo
in 1469, and its restoration has been presented
by professors Massimo Cacciari and Antonio Paolucci,
superintendent of the Polo Museale Fiorentino.
